RIIKO® timber bunks

Konekorjaamo Riikonen Oy manufactures RIIKO® timber bunks in Joensuu, Finland. With over 35 years of experience in superstructure manufacturing and a practical understanding of the demands of timber transportation, we apply our expertise to the design and manufacture of our products. RIIKO® timber bunks are designed for demanding professional use, where low weight, durability and ease of maintenance are essential. RIIKO® superstructures carry the Key Flag-symbol, recognising their Finnish origin and manufacture.

RIIKO® 8T timber bunk

RIIKO® 8T is light and durable timber bunk with detachable stakes. RIIKO® timber bunks are made from high-strength steel, which is pre-treated and painted in the customer’s chosen RAL colour. The bunks are also available with galvanization. RIIKO® timber bunks are available with several fixing options, and with heights ranging from 2500 to 3250 mm.

Assembly and delivery of RIIKO® timber bunks

RIIKO® timber bunks can be installed at our company in Joensuu, Finland, or delivered directly to the customer as a ready-to-install bunk package. In addition to RIIKO® timber bunks, our product range includes all the accessories required for load securing, such as load tighteners, binding chain brackets and quick-release devices.

RIIKO® load tighteners

RIIKO® load tighteners are available in mechanical and pneumatic versions. RIIKO® pneumatic tightener provides continuous tightening force and is available with either a chain or wire. The pneumatic tightener is installed on the subframe of the truck or on the trailer frame. Mechanical tighteners can also be installed on timber bunks. Installation can be done at our company in Joensuu, or we can deliver ready-to-install load tightener packages directly to the customer.

Sales with practical experience

Konekorjaamo Riikonen Oy’s Sales Manager, Antti Pikkarainen, is known for his strong practical expertise. Heavy machinery is familiar to him both from the workshop and from behind the wheel. Before moving into sales, Antti worked for many years as a foreman in the production of RIIKO® superstructures. Before that, he worked for more than ten years as a driver of timber, hook-lift and gravel trucks. His extensive practical experience gives him a solid understanding of what customers really need – and how to find the right solutions from the very beginning.
